Jubilate Chamber Choir - Bristol Cathedral 20 Sept 2014

Under the direction of Ian Higginson, Jubilate Chamber Choir is one of Gloucestershire's leading chamber choirs.

Jubilate performs a diverse range of music, sacred and secular, delighting audiences throughout the UK and in Europe. Our concerts can range from intimate recitals of unaccompanied singing to larger-scale works with guest soloists and chamber orchestra. Our Christmas extravaganza, The Joy of Christmas, is an annual crowd-pleaser with guest choirs, orchestra, readings and carols galore, and the occasional bag piper!

We were delighted to have had the opportunity of filming with Gyles Brandreth for the BBC One Show in 2011. See below to find out more.

In March 2012 Jubilate had the pleasure of singing with soloists Emma Kirkby, Hannah Davey, Sebastian Field, Paul Tompkins and Brian Pursey in an extremely successful performance of the Bach B minor mass.

In July last year we enjoyed performing at Highgrove House, the home of HRH the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, a memorable experience for all the choir. We also recorded a CD of music by Ian Higginson, his Requiem and Shades of Jazz.

During 2014 we have performed at Gloucester Cathedral and made a return visit to Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford. We plan to perform recitals at Bristol Cathedral (see Latest news to the right) and St Alfege Parish Church, Greenwich. A Jubilate summer tour is planned for 2015
